EVALUATION QUESTON 6
We used our mobile phones to take pictures and videos of evidence of filming. We uploaded these pictures and videos to the blog as it was one of the blog posts to show proof of filming. Our main device was the sd card this is because we saved all of the shots into the sd card. For editing we used the video drive to save all our film into it. We used youtube to upload rough cuts to how improved compare as we go along with the final piece. Finally with using vimeo to upload the film you can see our film distributed.

PRODUCTION - Feedback On Rough Cut
Rough Cut Feedback
Positive:
- Good range of shots so it makes it more interesting and efficient
- Great close ups to show important detail and add good effect
- You was able to able to understand the storyline well even though there wasn't any sound and the sequence of shots were clear and portrayed well.
- Good match cut shots to show the contrast between the boy and the girl.
- Liked the mise-en-scene from the boys perspective as it showed a clear understanding of his character and personality.
Negative:
- Jerky camera movement - a tripod needs to be used so it looks professional and steady.
- Girls mis-en-scene needs to be more clear as it doesn't show her character very well and we don't get a sense of the type of person she is and what she likes.
- Create a sound scape, don't leave sound scape and titles unplanned.
- Re shoot dark scenes because lighting in all shots are different. It was supposed to be a bright and energetic film with clear lighting but it is quite dark and doesn't match with our planning and genre of the film.
Things to improve:
Things to improve:
- Add more lighting.
- More steady on the Camera as it was shaky.
- Better mis-en-scene of the girl and show her character more.

PRODUCTION- rough cut evaluation
Rough Cut Evaluation
From my perspective, I think our rough cut was well done even though we have enough time to film the rough cut of the title sequence it is acceptable. Due to not being able to film we didn't have enough shots therefore the rough cut didn't go to as planned. However there is a range of shots which shows ideas coming through for example, the boy and girl getting ready which is synchronized illustrating to the audience that the genre romance with the sub-genre as comedy because of how lazy and messy the boy is. various amounts of shots put forward the atmosphere as it is quick and snappy. Putting each shot into action went well as our shot list was simple and straight forward. This advantage helped us with timing. One disadvantage with filming was that it wasn't bright enough for us to put the idea of comedy forward considering this as it was the winter season. However we have enough time to film again or we can simply change it in editing.
Editing helped the title sequence as it helped us see what kind of outcome we have. Editing the title sequence made it seem more professional and clear that shots we have taken is appropriate and useful and gave a hint of what we have to change. Over all the rough cut was better than expected therefore we don't have to retake certain shots.
PLANNING- Distribution company ( by Gunes)
DISTRIBUTION COMPANY
We chose for our distribution company to be mainstream. This is because all movies we have been influenced by are mainstream such as the Ugly Truth, 10 things i hate about you and legally blonde. Mainstream films have a high budget through the distribution company-
| Budget | $38 million |
|---|
^ The Ugly Truth. we have designed our own distribution company- Dove Productions similar to other mainstream companies such as:
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer |
Marketisation
The marketing tools- YouTube- trailer of the movie, billboards- pictures of actors to attract audience, raising awareness themselves via social media accounts- Instagram and Twitter.
Social media- legally blonde has its own website but it is the musical rather than the film itself, all mainstream companies have advertised themselves on social media accounts such as having twitter about the whole film itself e.g The Ugly Truth.

PRODUCTION - Filming evaluation- Part 1 (by Faiz)
Pictures of us filming
We filmed on the 24th November and on the 25th in Adnans house. The filming went as planned and we managed to complete the scenes from the boys part and took all the shots that we said we was going to do in the research. We still have the girls scene to do and we will do that in gunes's house sometime next week. We had all the equipment needed for our film and although we had difficulties carrying the stuff for such a long journey, we managed to get it done at the end. Once we got into the house we were able to film easily as there wasn't any disruptions and it was a good environment to work. It took us a while to set up the equipment as it was a long time since we last used and we needed some time to figure out how to put everything together. We filmed 32 shots from the boys part in those two days and managed to do them all. Next time I think we will do everything more swiftly because now we know what we need to do so next time we can just get on with it.

PLANNING - Title credits ( by Gunes)
Title credits
As we are heavily influenced by legally blonde, we decided that our title credits should also be in the colour pink to represent our genre, as the pink symbolises a girly girl character. The typography from legally blonde is done as if someone has written the title credits giving the title sequence smoothness to the opening therefore we have chosen a typography similar to legally blonde to give it the same effect on the audience.
Titles credits will be interrogated on moving images throughout appearing on the left side then the right with each different shot. The pace of the titles will be quick as the sounding behind will be a upbeat song giving the title sequence rhythm and luring in the audience.

Title credits order:
- Production comapany/ ident- Dove Productions
- Name of the Movie- Lazy Flower
- Actors who feature in the movie
- Directors
- Make-up etc
- costumes
- sounding
- lighting
- producer

PLANNING - Pitch feedback (by Faiz)
Pitch feedback
Some of the feedback that we received after we made our presentation was that that they liked the concept of our film showing the two different contrast of the boy and the girl and how we picked a unique genre in Romcom because no one else has done it before. They also liked the way we sold our idea but said that we were mostly reading off the board and we needed to improvise a bit more. Also some of the things that we had in our blog wasn't in the presentation so we missed out on key points and the audience were asking us questions based on those things. One of the questions that they asked us which we found useful is that what type of music we are going to use while we have a split screen to show the contrast between the two characters. We responded by saying that we was going to have a lively song for the girl and a slow song for the boy before we go on the split screen and once were on the split screen we are going to put something similar to Legally blonde as it was one of the filmed we researched and we liked the sound of it.
