RESEARCH - Analysing 2 film title sequences

Analysing 2 film title sequences

Skyfall:

The film opening starts with James Bond (the main character) drowning after being shot. The soundtrack then starts as a slow piano (Skyfall by Adele). We are not really introduced, but can see Bond in a deep ocean. There are a lot of detailed special effects that go along with the music to show Bond's 'resurrection'. The title credits are integrated into the opening sequence. The genre is action which we can tell from the guns and blood (also because James Bond is worldwide known as a fictional British spy).

Juno:

The film begins with the main character (Juno) walking from real life to a cartoon. The opening is accompanied by jolly music. We are introduced to Juno who is walking through a few streets or her neighbourhood while drinking orange juice from one place to another. The title credits are integrated with a lot of colour and happy/interesting font. The genre is comedy because the opening is very colourful/cartoony with jolly music symbolising a good time.
