Target audience

A target audience is a particular group of spectators at which an event/product such as a film or advert is aimed atI have researched into the romantic genre  films and chose these films to research target audience information about.


About Time:

This films main audience are females (as mainly females watch romantic films rather than males) aged 18-24 who live primarily in London and the North West region of England. Their monthly spare is £1000 which makes them considerably financially stable.



Their favourite films are 'The Hunger Games' and 'Hairspray' which involves quite famous actors and actresses such as Jennifer Lawrence and John Travolta.

Romeo and Juliet:

This films main audience are females (as mainly females watch romantic films rather than males) aged 25-39 who primarily live in Yorkshire. They're interested in media, law and entertainment. Their monthly spare is £125.



They are into drama and italian. There is a link here as Romeo and Juliet is set in Verona, Italy. It used to be performed at theatres as one of Shakespeare's plays. 



500 Days of Summer:

This films main audience are females (as mainly females watch romantic films rather than males) aged 18-24 who primarily leave in East Anglia.



One of their favourite celebrities is Joseph Gordon-Levitt who is the main actor in the film which could be one of the reasons why people watched/liked the film.
