Target audience
A target audience is a particular group of spectators at which an event/product such as a film or advert is aimed at. I have researched into the romantic genre films and chose these films to research target audience information about.About Time:
This films main audience are females (as mainly females watch romantic films rather than males) aged 18-24 who live primarily in London and the North West region of England. Their monthly spare is £1000 which makes them considerably financially stable.
Romeo and Juliet:
This films main audience are females (as mainly females watch romantic films rather than males) aged 25-39 who primarily live in Yorkshire. They're interested in media, law and entertainment. Their monthly spare is £125.
They are into drama and italian. There is a link here as Romeo and Juliet is set in Verona, Italy. It used to be performed at theatres as one of Shakespeare's plays.
500 Days of Summer:
This films main audience are females (as mainly females watch romantic films rather than males) aged 18-24 who primarily leave in East Anglia.
One of their favourite celebrities is Joseph Gordon-Levitt who is the main actor in the film which could be one of the reasons why people watched/liked the film.
