There are different types of film openings:
Narrative title sequence:
Title interrogated into moving images in some way and begin as the film itself. Might be long or short series of establishing shots.
Discrete title sequence:
Title interrogated and on black screen with no storyline. sets tone due to genre which is not part of narrative.
Stylised title sequence:
Graphic interrogated with text can be a mixture of other two sub-categories moving image, title credit is stylised to create combined effect.
PERSONAL PREFERNCE: DISCRETE.
