RESEARCH- title sequence

what makes a good title sequence?

kyle cooper
According to kyle copper making a good title sequence involves 'setting an expectation, making it more exciting and adding an impression'. If the title sequence is exciting the more it reflects to the movie. The more exciting it is the more the audience will want to watch the movie and like it more. other than trailers and marketing elements, they are the first images the audience sees, this is where the audience first judges the movie.

Example of kyle cooper title sequence: se7en.

The,typography in the movie se7en is crucial because it gives a hint of the storyline. it reflects the main character being a serial killer and keeping a diary. the handwritten typography echoes the diary the serial killer is keeping, this gives the title sequence a more spooky and mysterious attitude and builds up the atmosphere by adding on tension. this repeats back to what kyle cooper has said about what makes a good title sequence by making it more exciting: building up the tension.
